Hello and welcome to my site!
I’m a theoretical physicist specialising in general relativity, cosmology and fluid mechanics. Since August, 2020 I am permanently based at the Physics Department of Stellenbosch University, Stellenbosch, South Africa. My current research interests are accretion, modified theories of gravity, and structure formation. Mostly I look at this,
but sometimes I look at this,
NEWS: After a 2 year wait, I finally got to Ann Arbor, MI where I will spend the first half of 2022 as a University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar. During this period I will be based at the Department of Physics. More information about the winter cohort can be found here.
I was a lecturer at the Mathematics Department of Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa from January, 2017 to July 2020. Prior to this I held a joint postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Physics Department, Stellenbosch University.
My PhD was completed via the Astrophysics and Cosmology Research Unit, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa.
